The Airline of Firsts: Corendon Airlines
Since its establishment, Corendon Airlines has marked many exemplary practices and firsts in the aviation sector, entering the market with the slogan “Make a Difference.” The airline was the first Turkish company to land a passenger aircraft at Sabiha Gökçen Airport from Amsterdam on April 12, 2005, and at Gazipaşa Airport on April 4, 2012.
As an IATA member, Corendon Airlines holds various certifications including AOC, IOSA, JAR-OPS 1, ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, JAR 145, and Barrier-Free Airline. On April 11, 2014, Corendon Airlines began operating flights from Germany to Antalya. Through collaborations with major tour operators, Corendon Airlines has continuously increased the number of seats offered each year.
With its European subsidiaries, Corendon Dutch Airlines (established in the Netherlands in 2011) and Corendon Airlines Europe (established in Malta in 2017), Corendon Airlines has become an international airline offering direct flights to 165 airports in 65 countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Scandinavian countries, Italy, England, France, Czechia, Romania, Poland, Israel, and Egypt.
In 2023, Corendon Airlines operated with a fleet of 37 Boeing 737 aircraft, carrying 6 million passengers per year. With the motto “Your Holiday Airline,” Corendon Airlines organizes flights from Europe to popular holiday destinations such as Turkey, Greece, Spain, and Egypt, as well as direct flights from various cities in Turkey to Europe.

Achievements
- With the Eindhoven to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport flight on April 12, 2005, Corendon Airlines became the first passenger aircraft to land at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
- The first airline in Europe to receive the “ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Certificate.”
- The first airline in Turkey to be awarded the “Barrier-Free Air Transport Certificate” by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation for providing the necessary conditions for disabled passengers to fly comfortably.
- The first airline in Turkey to use information cards printed in Braille for visually impaired passengers and to develop special procedures for hearing and speech-impaired passengers.
- On April 4, 2012, the first airline to land a passenger plane at Alanya Gazipaşa Airport.
- Achieved the “IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) Certificate,” held by only 260 out of 3,000 airlines worldwide.
- Received the highest score of 7 stars in the “World’s Safest Airline Companies Survey” organized by AirlineRatings.com.
- On June 27, 2020, landed its first Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft at Zonguldak Çaycuma Airport from Cologne.
